Formed in Edinburgh way back in the 1990?s, Black Rose have a long history of performing the music of Thin Lizzy in venues across Scotland and beyond and we are extremely proud to say that we have had the privilege of headlining both the Bash for Philo, and the Vibe for Philo in Dublin
From the very start Black Rose have focused on re-creaJng the feel of the Lizzy live set and bringing the music to exisJng and new fans alike. Joined on most occasions by our 5th member on keys & sax, the band deliver this in style, and without the need to resort to backing tracks!
True to the Lizzy way of life many band members have come and gone since the early days, however, Scotland?s Black Rose have always tried to stay true to the sound of Thin Lizzy, no parodies, no egos, no backing tapes, just a passion for the music.
We are old enough to remember when we saw Lizzy ‘Live & Dangerous? on many occasions and, from the opening chords of Jailbreak through the Celtic rock of Emerald, the slow blues of Still in Love With You to the final ringing notes of Black Rose, the band continue to pay tribute to the music of arguably the best rock band ever to come out of Eire. Close your eyes and think of Lizzy!!
Are You Ready?!!!
